The Real Madrid player was a frontrunner for the award but ultimately placed second to Manchester City’s Rodri.

Vinicius was absent from the awards ceremony due to Real Madrid’s boycott of the event.

However, he ended his quiet upon Rodri’s receipt of his award, issuing a caution to the organizers.

He stated on social media: “I will do it ten times if necessary.” They are unprepared.

Vinicius Jr was speculated to have secured the Ballon d’Or following his contributions to Real Madrid’s victories in the Champions League and LaLiga last season.

He netted 24 goals and provided 11 assists, contributing pivotal goals during the Champions League knockout phases, including the final match.

However, he was disregarded for the premier accolade, which was awarded to Rodri, the victor of the Premier League and Euros.

Florentino Perez, the President of Real Madrid, responded with indignation by boycotting the ceremony.

This indicated that no representatives from Real Madrid attended the ceremony in Paris, including Jude Bellingham, who placed third.

The absence of a club representative to accept the Club of the Year award resulted in an unpleasant situation.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti also did not get the Coach of the Year award.

Emi Martinez of Aston Villa was awarded Keeper of the Year, while Harry Kane received the Striker’s Prize, sharing the honor with Kylian Mbappe, who participated in the Madrid boycott.
