Vinicius Jr, Alba absent, Luka Modric returns: Real Madrid’s 4-3-1-2 formation could play against Braga

Real Madrid got back from their international break over the weekend, and their next La Liga game was against Sevilla. Carlo Ancelotti’s team had to go home with only a 1-1 draw because they were still not fully healthy and ready to play.

Their next game is in the UEFA Champions League, where they play Braga. They will be trying to get back to winning ways. Madrid’s next game is in Portugal this week, and then they play Barcelona on the weekend. They have won their first two games.

Ancelotti has already said that he won’t use the same starting lineup that earned a point over the weekend. This is because some players are very tired from being on international service.

Are there rotations before El Clásico? No, I’m not going to use the same starting eleven that we used against Sevilla. I need to look at the players who are tired after the break; some of them got hurt against Sevilla… “Let’s see,” he said.

This is how Madrid Universal thinks Real Madrid will line up tomorrow against Braga, with one eye on El Clasico.

Defense: Nacho comes in for Alaba

Kepa Arrizabalaga said he wants to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu after this season, but Thibaut Courtois is clearly the first choice and it will be hard for him to compete. He will, however, be sure to start in goal tomorrow.

David Alaba just got back from being hurt, but he already scored against Sevilla, even though he put the ball in his own net. On the other hand, he played well, but Nacho could be given a break to keep him fit for El Clasico.

Antonio Rudiger should stay in his spot in central defense with the captain. Fran Garcia is likely to take Ferland Mendy’s place as left back. Daniel Carvajal is expected to stay at right back.

In the middle, Modric and Camavinga are back

We also think there will be changes in the middle of the field, especially since Toni Kroos played the whole game against Sevilla. The German’s control of the game against Barcelona will be very valuable, so he might not play at all tomorrow.

Luka Modric, the UCL star, is likely to return to the middle in his place. He will likely play with Eduardo Camavinga on the left side of the trident.

Federico Valverde needs some rest after a busy international break for Uruguay, where they played 90 minutes against both Colombia and Brazil. Aurelien Tchouameni wasn’t at his best over the weekend. As a result, the French player should stay as the defensive midfielder.

As expected, Jude Bellingham will be the last piece in this midfield puzzle. He will start as the no. 10/false 9 role that he has made his own this season, scoring ten goals and setting up three others in La Liga and the UCL.

Attack: Vitus takes a break

Ancelotti has a hard time with the charge. A bit of a dry spell in front of the goal for both of his star players, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr.

Also, both played a lot for Brazil during the international break and could use some rest before the most important part of the season starts.

Vinicius changes attitude and steps out of spotlight

MU thinks Vinicius will be rested tomorrow instead of Rodrygo, though, since Vinicius just got back from illness. Another way to break the other team out of its rut might be to play against a weaker opponent.

Joselu should be the last piece of the plan. He has scored five goals so far and scores one every 107 minutes in the league. He has also set up two goals, and he will be looking to get his first UCL goal tomorrow.
