In an effort to spread some holiday pleasure, the men’s team from Liverpool visited Alder Hey Children’s Hospital on Monday afternoon for their yearly Christmas visit.

The specialised children’s hospital, located in West Derby and serving hundreds of thousands of children annually, was visited by Jürgen Klopp and his Reds players.

They met Alder Hey staff members and spent time on the wards with patients and their families, listening to their tales, taking pictures, and giving out some LFC goodies to celebrate the holiday season.

“Every year when we come here, I can feel the parents’ spirit. Klopp added, “You get the impression they’re in the right place.”

When you inquire about their condition, they respond, “Oh, much better than a week ago. There is a lot of good news to report, and the environment among the physicians, nurses, and personnel is simply wonderful.

“The boys sense the impact they have when they come here, and they want to be here.” Some children may seem a little too small, but they will be delighted when their parents show them the photos in a few years.

“While you never want your child to visit the hospital, Alder Hey is a great place to be if it’s absolutely necessary.” I’m really grateful for what these people are doing.

We welcomed Liverpool’s manager and team for their yearly visit as part of our Christmas tradition, and they created some incredibly memorable moments for our kids, families, and employees.
