Chelsea beat Brighton 4-2 thanks to an amazing free kick by Cole Palmer that made it a hat-trick in ten minutes and a fourth goal before halftime.
Chelsea’s 22-year-old star scored four goals in the first half, in the 21st, 28th, 31st, and 41st minutes.
He was the first player in Premier League history to score four goals in the first half of a game.
Brighton took the lead early on through Georginio Rutter, but Palmer squared the game with a great low finish after the Seagulls took a very high line.
After seven minutes, he scored his second goal when Jadon Sancho won a penalty and he calmly put it away, making Bart Verbruggen miss.
He finished the triple in style.
Palmer took the free kick and curled it into the top corner from 25 yards out.
Even though Verbruggen had his finger on the ball, he couldn’t stop Palmer from celebrating in his usual way.
Carl Baleba scored for Brighton to get one back.
Then Palmer scored Chelsea’s fourth goal in a breathtaking first half. Sancho won the ball high up and set it up for Palmer to score again.
That made it four goals in 20 crazy minutes, and the game stayed that way after the second period ended with no goals.
Palmer could have SIX in the first half, which is crazy.
Before he scored the goal, the former Manchester City player hit the post and then shot past Verbruggen a minute later, but VAR called it off for offside.
Palmer has now scored four goals in the Premier League, which is more than the three he has scored.
With a dramatic hat trick, he led his team to an unbelievable 4-3 win over Manchester United on April 4.
After only 11 days, he scored four goals as Chelsea blew Everton away.
But his four goals against Brighton made a lot of people praise him for being so heroic.
Someone said: “This record will stand for years to come by Cole Palmer.”
Someone else wrote, “Best player in the league, hands down.””Right now, he’s the best player in the Premier League,” said a third. “What a player.”
Finally, someone asked him to become the first person to score six goals in a Premier League game: “First ever double hat-trick today?”
