Wayne Rooney has left St. Andrew’s for the beaches of Dubai.
At the beginning of January, the legendary Manchester United manager was fired from his job as head coach of Birmingham after only two of his fifteen games in charge were wins.
But after going to Old Trafford to meet up with darts star Luke Littler, Rooney has been seen relaxing in the sun in the United Arab Emirates.
Rooney, who is 38 years old, posted a picture of his trip to the country on Instagram.
The Everton player was photographed with NHL star Alex Ovechkin while he was there.
Nine times, Ovechkin, who is 38 years old, set the league record for most goals scored. He also won the NHL’s Most Valuable Player award three times.
The left winger has been with the Washington Capitals since 2005 and helped them win the Stanley Cup in 2018.
In contrast, Rooney won five Premier League titles, one Champions League, and was named player of the year in 2010.
One fan replied to the post, “Legend Wazza▦.”
Someone else said, “Legend.”
“Guy looks more like Tom Hardy than Tom Hardy,” joked a third.
A third person said, “Two legends!!!”
