After a loan move from Manchester United, JADON SANCHO has now arrived in Dortmund.
Louis Saha, a former striker for Manchester United, called Sancho one of the team’s “biggest transfer failures of all time.”
The England winger is going back to his old team on loan until the end of the season. The German giants will pay only £3 million for the loan and will pay some of his salary.
Dortmund got back from their winter break in Marbella on Tuesday. They play Darmstadt in the Bundesliga on Saturday night, but the England player is probably not going to play.
That was in August, and he hasn’t played for United since. He was kicked off the team after a big fight with manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho, who is 23 years old, played for Dortmund from 2017 to 2021 and scored 50 goals in 137 games.
But in 82 games over two and a half seasons with Manchester, Sancho only scored 12 goals and set up six others.
Dortmund officials at first didn’t want to sign Sancho because he was known for not keeping track of time before he moved to Old Trafford for £73 million in 2021.
Dortmund thought it was worth the risk to bring Sancho back, even though the club is fighting in fifth place and United is paying a third of his £290,000-a-week salary.
Saha also thinks that Sancho’s time at United has been a waste of money.
The former France forward said, “Jadon is one of United’s worst transfers. You can’t have a player of that quality sitting out because of how he acts.” Because of that, you can’t leave him out for six months.
“Getting hurt should be the only thing that stops you.”
“It doesn’t make sense because we know he’s good enough.”
“You can’t put yourself in that situation and think the manager doesn’t care about you.”
“I don’t support Sancho no matter what, which is hard for me as a United fan.” It’s awful.”
