‘What a nerd’ – Man Utd fans are fuming Anthony Elanga as celebrating wildly and making a disrespectful move to old club while he was subbed off for Nottingham Forest

Elanga was impressive against Man Utd

Furthermore, he further twisted the knife by providing as Nuno Espirito Santo’s revitalized Forest won 2-1 despite Man Utd’s hit-and-miss play this season.

But what really infuriated Man Utd supporters was not his assist for Morgan Gibbs-White that won the game.

Instead, it was what he did when he was replaced in the 87th minute.

Fans spotted the 21-year-old smiling and pointing to his club badge while on the sideline.

Reacting to the act on social media, one fan said: “Elanga pointing to the Forest badge as he’s subbed off smiling 😭😭😭😭.”

A second said: “Elanga pointing to the Forest badge when he comes off. What a nerd.”

A third said: “What’s that nonsense touching of the badge that Elanga is doing?”

With six assists this season, Elanga has more than any other Manchester United player.

With the victory, Forest jumps up to 15th place on the table and moves five spots clear of the drop zone.

Man Utd, meanwhile, is still in seventh place, nine points outside the top four.
